The International Conference on Engineering and Ecohydrology for Fish Passage will be held at the China Three Gorges University (CTGU) in Yichang, Hubei Province, the People's Republic of China. 

Hubei Province,  located in the central part of the People's Republic of China,  is rich in water resources. In addition to the main stream of the Yangtze River and the Han River, 4,228 rivers at all levels are more than 5 kilometers long, with a total length of 59,200 kilometers, of which 41 rivers are more than 100 kilometers long. Hubei Province is known as the "province of thousands of lakes", with 755 lakes and a total water surface area of 2,706.851 square kilometers.

Yichang City, located in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, is home of the Three-Gorge Project and has abundant water resources and a diverse aquatic environment. The area’s complex and variable hydrological conditions provide valuable resources for studying ecological hydrology. Additionally, Yichang City, as an important node city of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, has extensive practical experience in water resources management and ecological environmental protection.

CTGU, located in Yichang City, is  jointly built by the Ministry of Water Resources and the People's Government of Hubei Province.  It is also a participant  in the Ministry of Education’s "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program". In 2018, the university was designated as a "Domestic first-class university construction university" by the provincial government, and water conservancy is one of its strong programs. The University has long been recognized for its stable scientific research direction andhigh-level academic teams.  It has achieved a series of high-level scientific research results in areas such as the Three Gorges Project, hydropower development in the Hubei Qingjiang River basin, and large-scale hydropower projects both domestically and internationally.  Notably, its research team has achieved a series of important research results in fish facilities and ecological hydrology.
